Flossine Gossage

Born May 1, 1932 in Harrisburg to Buford A. and Martha Mae (Waltz) Reed, she married Charles LeRoy Gossage on May 1, 1948 in Benton. He died April 4, 2003 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Fred Silkwood; one grandson, Christopher Gossage and one brother, Dwayne Reed.

Surviving are two sons, Lonnie L. (Kiki) Gossage of Jacksonville and Gary D. (Terri) Gossage of Zephyr Hills, FL; five grandchildren, Tammie (Chris) Blevins of Cedar Park, TX, Gary Gossage, Jr. of Manito, Erica Gossage of Oldsmar, FL, Jennifer Colon of North Carolina and Stacey (Buddy) Rinker of Knoxville, TN; ten great-grandchildren and many much loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Flossine’s passion was selling Avon in the South Pekin area for more than 50 years. She also was a longtime member of the South Pekin Congregational Church and the Ladies Aide Society at the church.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Tom Cox will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
