

Born February 28, 1947 in Lincoln to Lester and Dorothy (Boyer) Tisdale, he married Mary Jean Watson on March 27, 1968 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William (Sheri) Tisdale of Pekin and Christopher (Richelle) Tisdale of Pekin; one daughter, Candice (Robert) Gills of Delavan; five grandchildren, Brandon Tisdale of Hawaii, Donovan Tisdale of Pekin, Katelynn (Doug) Drake of Delavan, Ashton Tisdale of Pekin and Alison (Luke Meyers) Gills of Morton; two great grandchildren, Aiden Tisdale and Conner Tisdale, both of Hawaii; one brother Howard “Marty” (Jody) Tisdale of Manito; one sister, Naomi Zinkus of California and his mother-in-law, Kathryn Watson of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Silas, Raymond, George; one sister, Dorothy Winterbar; his father-in-law, William Watson and one brother-in-law, Ray Watson.
Fred was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea at Camp Casey from 1966 to 1968 as a truck driver. He achieved the rank of E-4 Specialist.
He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 15 years, retiring in 1994.
Fred loved fishing, spending time with his family and his dog, Pippy.
There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
