

Born on April 26, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee to George and Helen (Pitts) Simpson Sr., he married Stephanie Morris on June 26, 2000. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa (Mike) Bushnell of Peoria and Elaine Simpson of Tucson, Arizona; three sons, Mike Bell of Elmwood, George (Jennifer) Simpson of Tucson, Arizona and Steven Morris of Marquette Heights; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (LeAnn) Simpson of Iowa and Lee (Connie) Simpson of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Linda (David) Scott of Kansas City, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bethann Bartholomew and Susan Simpson; best friend, Rick Spitzig; two fur babies and one toe.
George worked in Data Entry for 25 years.
He enjoyed traveling with his family to Tennessee. He also loved computers, Pokémon Go, SCI-FI shows and movies and spending time with his harem.
George had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many.
A gathering celebrating George’s life will be at 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Liberty Hall in Marquette Heights, 100 Lincoln Road, Marquette Heights, Illinois 61554.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
