Gerald Rosas

Born August 20, 1957 in Kewanee to Manuel and Juanita “Janie” (Preciado) Rosas, he married Debra Griswold June 12, 1999 in Groveland. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Jerry (Brittnie) Rosas, Tamara Griswold, Tommy Rosas and Kimberly (Logan) Barrett, all of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Mason, Ciara, Cortez, Harmony, Harlynn, Elle, Baby Bless, Kasen and Maeve; four sisters, Carol (Vaughn) Bottomly of Pekin, Marcia (Todd) Obenhaus of Princeton and Paulettet Hill, both of Princton and Princess Lee (James) Blanford of Wyanet and one brother, Randy Rosas of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ted.

Gerald worked for BAC Local #6 for over 35 years as a bricklayer, retiring in 2017.

A helpful guy, Gerald never knew a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, cook outs and singing karaoke.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be a celebration of Gerald’s life at a later date, the family asks to call (309) 363-3988 for information.
