Glen R Martin

Born September 1, 1920 in Arlberg, Arkansas to Sidney Austin and Mary Minerva (Moody) Martin, he married L. Audrey Reeves on August 9, 1942 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. She died April 13, 2000 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Glennis LaJune (Robert) Keckler of McAllen, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kevin C. Watson of Torrington, WY, Lori L. (Victor) Temple of Douglas, WY, Scott D. (Tonya) Watson of Pekin and Martin D. (Kim) Watson of South Pekin, Lori F. Sager of Austin, TX, Bobbi Jo Keckler of Denham Springs, LA and Edward A. Keckler of Shreveport, LA; thirteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchild; one brother, Garland Martin of Metamora and one sister, Alba Williams of Clinton, AR

He had worked as a painter for Corn Products Company for 33 years, retiring in 1981.

Glen had been a member of South Pekin Congregational Church.

He loved to read his Bible and enjoyed baking treats to give away.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Eric Branch will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
