He was born on March 02, 1925 in Mapleton to Hansford and Frances (Sea) Howard. He married Emma “Cotton” Britt on June 02, 1945 in Pekin, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2012.
Surviving are his daughter, Myra (Larry) Bachman; son-in-law, Edward Sack; grandchildren, Michelle Jakoby, Jason (Brenda) Bachman, Chris (Tia) Bachman, and April (Bill) McGinnis; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Chase, Caleb, Eli, Ian, and Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Mary Frances Sack; granddaughter, Kathy Bachman; and 7 siblings.
Irving was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was retired from Hiram Walker, and JC Penney. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, collecting toy cars, and traveling with his wife. He never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
