He was born December 19, 1951 in Greensburg, PA to Jack Robert and Lucille A. (Burch) Altman, Sr. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one son in infancy, Shane A. Altman.
Surviving are one son, Jack R. Altman, III of Pekin; one step-son, Michael (Kira) Graham of Pekin; five grandchildren, Jack R. Altman, IV, Marissa Altman, Keenan Graham, Jerica Graham and Chloe Graham; two great-grandchildren, Tyson and Michael and two sisters, Nancy (David) Ronk of Bartonville and Carol (Kit Keith) Altman of Pekin.
Jack last worked for Premier at Mitsubishi Motors in Normal for nearly 20 years.
He was a songwriter and loved to fish. He also was very family oriented and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Altman’s home, 1908 Virginia in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
