

Born April 14, 1948 in Muskegon, Michigan to Clifford and Mary (Saur) Lonnee, he married Susan “Sue” Kay Francis on August 9, 1969 in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years; three daughters, Dawn (Robert) Taylor and Pamela (Dana) Wills, both of Pekin and Marianne (Andrew) Miles of Patterson, New York; one son-in-law, Mark Harrison of Pekin; four grandchildren, James Bregg of Pekin, Brandon Bregg of Florida, Sydney Lamer of Wisconsin and Kelsey (Ryan) Mink of Pekin; one sister, LuAnn (Brad) Regits-DeLauter of Michigan and one brother, Greg (Sue) Lonnee of Muskegon, Michigan.
He was preceded by his parents and one daughter, Peggy Sue Harrison.
Jim had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria as a Metallurgical Engineer and Failure Analysis Instructor for 34 years before retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed reading, fishing, golfing and watching NASCAR. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
Jim was an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
His memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pekin. Robin Raymer will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
