
He was born July 23, 1931 in Smithfield, Illinois to Charles James and Carrie Hilda (Maul) Drummond. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa, niece Patricia Roberts, nephew Lawrence Churchill, sister, Betty Taylor.
Surviving are three sons, Michael (Kathy) Kirkpatrick and David Kirkpatrick, both of Omaha, Nebraska and Tim (Nancy) Kirkpatrick of Ashland, Nebraska; two daughters, Kathy (Dave) Jennings and Laura Carlson, both of Lincoln, Nebraska; nephew Jim (Cindy) Churchill and Marcia (Lloyd) Ragar of Peoria, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Jim had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He had worked as an auto mechanic in the Peoria area for many years.
He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association. He also had served as past president of the Peoria Motorcycle Club and the Bellevue Fire Department.
Jim arranged to have his body donated to medical science. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
