I am so very sorry I had no idea you were battling cancer, my friend. I would have been there for you. It was an honor to help you take care of your precious wife Donna with her cancer. Now you are together once again with our LOrd. You will be missed my dear friend. 

In the late summer of 2017, I got a chat message on facebook from a man named “Jim March”, a man I had never met before but who identified himself as one of my late husband’s old high school friends. He wrote to tell me he was sorry to hear of my husband John’s passing that June and informed me that he had just lost his wife, Donna. I thanked him for his kind message and in return, expressed my sorrow over his wife’s passing. 
For the next couple of months, we continued to chat online, helping each other cope with the passing of our loved ones.  He felt tremendous guilt that he was not at Donna’s side when she passed. He was so afraid that she would not know just how much he loved her and missed her and so he continued to carry that guilt with him. 
Through the winter of 2017 and early 2018 we continued to chat online, talking of our loved ones and how we both missed them so very much. One day after he did a little “sleuthing” around, he pulled up in my driveway and came to the door and introduced himself to me and told me he was going to kidnap me for the day. He drove us out to Jubilee Park. We ended up talking about our loved ones the whole way, and then stopped for pie and coffee on the way back.  To say the least, it was a healing adventure that day. I think both of us felt better for it. Early this spring he invited me to breakfast. I met him in the parking lot at the restaurant and here he comes walking up to me sitting in my Jeep with a paper grocery sack over this head, with holes cut out for the eyes. I took one look at him and busted out laughing so hard, I couldn’t talk. 
To many people Jim may have appeared to be a “crotchety” old man who held onto grudges and was not quick to forgive and forget, but he is of the very few men that I can honestly say was a good man with a heart of gold, who was always there for people that needed him.  For the three short years I knew him, he became my friend and confidant, which if you knew me, is not an easy thing to do. He was a good man and I miss him already.  Rest in Peace Bug!

Let me tell you some things about Jim from a cousin that didn't get to spend enough time with him but he was always available to me.  Things I will never forget....the year my Father passed away when I was 11 and my brother was 12 and my mother was a lost soul, Jim phoned and said he and his wife were coming this weekend and we were going to a ball game.  A St. Louis Cardinal ballgame! Jim drove from Illinois to north central Missouri to pick us up and then drive us to St. Louis.  The Sky was the limit at the ballpark.  Whatever my brother and I wanted Jim made it happen.  So...that evening driving home through a rain storm with lightning, out of no where my Mother starts crying a river!  My brother and I were freaking out that our mother was crying so much.  Jim handled it, said it's okay...and it was.  Let her cry, get it all out. My Mother said she was crying because she was so happy.  Happy to have a nephew that came and took us to the ballpark for a day of fun.  We hadn't seen fun for awhile.      Another time Jim dropped into Kirksville, Mo. he drove a nice new car.  Can't remember the model but it was a performer. That same afternoon he starts "waxing" his new car and is making it shine.  Jim came and found me inside the house and wanted to know if I could come help him.  "hell yes" I was just waiting for the invite to touch his new car!  He said, did you think I was going to wax the whole thing by myself!  Ha! that day I learned some tricks and secrets to a good car wax job.  Years, later when I moved to Florida and met my bride....Jim came to our wedding.  He stayed as long as he could at our morning wedding.  He looked like a lobster!  He had gotten sunburned the day before and the suit and tie made him miserable! Memories.  Good ones. Thanks Cousin Jim!  You done good! Love always, Cousin Chris.

To all of Jim's family, he will be so missed by many. Was a good friend and neighbor. My grandsons really thought he was a great guy. RIP Jim and you are now back with Donna who loved you dearly ?? 

Jim and I worked together for many years.  Always enjoyed his humor and enjoyabe friendship.   

I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Although I know this is a troubling time, I find it comforting that he has been reunited with my Mom in Heaven. My condolences and prayers go out to the entire March family.

Jim was a faithful dad who loved Amy and Steele.  I’m so blessed that God wove him into the story of our lives.  He will be missed, and we look forward to being with him again one day.

So sorry for your loss.  Nancy and I will be Praying for Peace and Comfort for all of you.
