James Lester Terry

He was born on January 12, 1965 in Peoria, the son of James Lester and Dotty (White) Terry Sr. James married Vicki Davis on June 10, 1989 in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his son, Cole Terry of Lacon; daughter, Aleena (Kyle) Stalter of East Peoria; two stepsons, Carlos (Jessica) Gonzalez of Peoria and Ryan Gonzalez of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren and a best friend Meyrick Roberts of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He later worked for Pepsi Co. for over 40 years, lastly as the warehouse manager. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Jim loved fishing, especially with his son Cole.

His celebration of life will be from 3 to 5 pm, Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Pepsi Co at 301 W. Birchwood, Morton. Cremation rites have been accorded to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory of Creve Coeur.
