She was born August 31, 1933 in Manito to Reuben Adam and Nancy Lettie (Richardson) Hoerr.
Surviving are one sister, Gloria Pingelton of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; two stillborn brothers; four brothers, Roger Hoerr, James Hoerr, Joseph Hoerr and Charles Hoerr; five sisters, Dorothy Layne, Norma Noel, Laura Mae Rowe, Bernadine Oldham and Zola Britt.
Janet worked at Pekin Hospital for 35 years, first as a nurse’s aide and later in housekeeping.
She was a member of the Pekin Eagles Aerie #1869 Ladies Auxiliary.
Janet loved her work at the hospital, her pets, and going fishing.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for medical expenses.
