Janice S. Beebe

Born May 16, 1947 in Pekin to John and Jane (Gray) Gainer, she married William Beebe on September 20, 1968 in Pekin.

Surviving are her husband; her mother, Jane Gainer of Pekin; one son, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Beebe of Sandwich; one daughter, Jovie (Joseph) Murtha of Groveland; four grandchildren; one sister, Julie Hauter of Elmwood; and one brother, John Larry Gainer of Davenport, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Jan had worked as a paralegal for Attorney Bernard Oltman in Pekin for over 15 years.

She attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.

Jan loved gardening and making silk flower arrangements.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin. The Rev. Dwight Borden will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel and from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. prior to the funeral Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
