Born July 23, 1964 in Peoria, he was the son of Roy Clifford and Betty Joyce (Gunzenheiser) Lovins. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children who are twins, Jeffrey Roy Lovins of Cahokia and Megan Nicole Lovins of Pekin; three granddaughters, Violet Kay Marie Lovins, Layla Star Nicole Lovins and Issabell Hailey Jean Lovins, all of Pekin; one brother, Marshall Lovins of Topeka and a niece, Cassie Lovins of Bloomington. Jeff was an Ironworker with Local 112 in East Peoria. August 9th was the 29th anniversary of a work accident that left him paralyzed while working as a 3rd year apprentice with the Ironworkers. He survived far longer than anyone ever imagined due to his strong spirit and heart.
He was an amazing father and really enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Jeff was a huge fan of Ozzy Osbourne and was proud to have met him in person. He formerly enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services or visitation are planned.
