I had the pleasure of not only caring for Jeff as a nurse but gaining him as a friend. We had some good times on night shift. Listening to music or listening to him crack up over Sanford and Sons or a good COPS episode. Jeff’s physical abilities were cut off way and so unfair but it didn’t stop him from leaving a lasting impression on everyone who met him. He had more strength than most would and showed that grin often!! You missed it so much and I know the first thing you did was pick up a guitar and belt a song!

Jeff you will be missed so much and I know your brother will miss you so much ..He loved you alot and you  two were so close...

With a broken heart my dearest cousin Jeff Lovins has passed on..
29 years  ago to the day, of when he took that fatefull fall from the State Farm building in Bloomington. His life and his children's lives changed for ever, and so did our whole family. 
He beat the odds and lived well pass his life expectancy. I loved you so much Jeff and I will miss you dearly. 

  Jeff was loved greatly and dearly loved by his family Marshall Lovins ,Cassie Lovins, myself (Karen Lovins Earl) and my son James Leavelle (Dallas) and our family's most precious and long time freind for over 30 years Myra K. Boker Nykanen. Jeff had a vast family on his mothers side the  Gunzenheiser Family many aunts, uncles and cousins who I can't remember all of them but they never forgot him. But most importantly Jeff's staff which took such excellent care of him, which no doubt contributed greatly to the longevity of his life. Jeff had a powerful team of nurses and doctors who worked tiresly over him.  We have a powerful God who watched over all of them to help deliver the best care possible for jeff. I know Jeff is free now, free from pain and torment, & suffering.  He is free to use his legs once again and enjoy the bright sunshine while holding his fishing pole & realing in that big bass. Have fun Jeff we all loved you greatly!

So much can be said…
My Uncle was always kind, goofy, cool, generous, & so strong. 
So many of my core memories from my childhood involve him & being at his house! Christmas days, fishing at his house, the annual firework show at his house, attending a Styx concert, going to Cardinal games, visits that included watching movies & listening to music, & trick or treating at your house where you’d always give my favorite candy! He was always kind enough to let me have my yearly birthday/slumber party at his house too! 
I’m so thankful for the time I got with you & am going to miss you so much. I love you!

Jeff was a good friend to Bob and me when we were neighbors. I clearly remember him coming back from fishing holding a bucket of fish wearing his overalls, straw hat, and chewing on a piece of straw! He loved to fish and he loved his overalls and hat! We had really great times as  friends for years sharing a picnic table between the two houses  and meeting up there for cook outs! He also is the one who got Bob a job at the iron workers and taught him a love for guitar. I loved those days!
