

Born July 24, 1973 in Pekin to Jimmy Richard Rogers, I and Terry Bitner, he married Shannon Mandrell on June 15, 2024 in Siesta Key, Florida. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Terry; two daughters, Emma Clay of Naples, Florida and Kaitlin (Isaac) Hunter of Washington; two grandchildren, Penelope and Jameson Hunter; two brothers, William Rogers of Fort Myers, Florida and Sean (Geri) Rogers of Pekin; one sister, Dawn (Charlie) Moushon of East Peoria; close cousins, Bill (Robbin) Purdy and Lorie (Randy) Vansaghi; dear friends, Kevin (Danie’le) Shelby; his friend whom he considered a brother, JR Reffner and his “brother” and beloved dog, Zed.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents and his dog who was like a child to him, Neiko.
Jimmy graduated from Cape Coral High School in Cape Coral, Florida.
He worked building pool cages in Florida then performed freelance contracting in the Pekin area, specializing in siding and windows.
Jimmy had a huge heart and never knew a stranger. He loved his family and grandchildren. He was passionate about music and loved to play the guitar.
A gathering celebrating Jimmy's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
