

John Clifton Spracklen, 64, of Pekin, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born September 19, 1950, in Shelbyville, Illinois to Charles and Stella Lemanski Spracklen. He married Marianne Steigleman on March 18, 2002.
John is survived by his wife of 12 years; two daughters, Jennifer Miller of Pekin, and Debra (Benjamin) Lang of South Pekin; one step-daughter, Genessa Lavine of Brooklyn, NY; one stepson, Michael Chamberlain of Malone NY; two sisters, Mary Palmer of Pekin and Terry Robinson of Auburndale, FL; one brother, Charles (Ethel) Spracklen of Creve Coeur; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
John was a United States Air Force veteran. Between the Air Force and Air National Guard he served for 20 years, retiring as a tech sergeant. He was a truck driver for 20 years during his military service.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Captain Kim Ray will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment and military honors will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Tazewell Animal Protective Society.
