Joy Lynn Starman

Born February 12, 1950 in Peoria to Eldon and Mary (Whitaker) Clinebell, she married Stephen Starman on July 13, 1968 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are two children, Amy Starman of Hanahan, South Carolina and Matthew (Elizabeth) Starman of Inverness, Illinois; two grandchildren, Quentin and Olivia Starman, both of Inverness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Randy Clinebell.

A homemaker, Joy’s husband, children and grandchildren were of most importance to her. She was an active mother, always attending her children’s events and hosting family gatherings.

Joy enjoyed reading, music, jigsaw puzzles and card-making. She dearly loved their family cats and neighborhood critters.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. Pastor Eric Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior. Arrangements entrusted by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
