Born December 21, 1969 in Pekin to Donald Ray and Janet Louise “Jan” (Nelan) Pyatt, she married Elmer Brent Hawkins on October 27, 2007 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother of Pekin; one son, Donnie Pyatt-Hawkins of Pekin; two half-brothers, Donnie (Vickie) Pyatt and Jerry (Karen) Pyatt, both of Pekin; and one half-sister, Barbara (Jim) Anderson of Mackinaw.
Her father preceded her in death on March 24, 2007 in Greenview.
Julie had worked as a caregiver for R.P. Malik in Pekin, last working in 2003.
She was a member of the Pekin Union Mission.
Julie enjoyed painting pictures and making crafts.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Greg Shambo will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
