

Born May 22, 1933 to Frederick L. and Florence E. (Hogan) Kellogg in Pekin,
she married Harold James Brady on January 15, 1951 in Springfield. They celebrated 68 years together before his passing on April 7, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jim and Michael Brady; one brother, Scott Kellogg and son-in-law, Kelly Madden.
Surviving are two daughters, Cindy Madden and Kathy (David) Potter, both of Pekin; one son, Kevin Brady of Pekin; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one sister, Sally (Ed) Spiesz of North Ridgeville, Ohio.
A homemaker, Karen was the matriarch of the family. She was a great caregiver, not only to her son Michael, but also to anyone who needed a helping hand. Karen was an amazing woman, who loved her family unconditionally.
Karen was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed going bowling, gardening, swimming and boating. She wrote poems and was incredible at scrabble books and crossword puzzles.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor David Craig will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
