Kathie Jean Buselmeier

Born August 8, 1944 in Pekin, she was a daughter of Henry and Lois Jean (Knieriem) Kavisic. Her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Susan (Jeff) Lance of Pekin; two sons, David Mayes of Pekin and Daniel (Anne) Mayes of Maui, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Kristen Mayes, Kendra Garber, Gabe Lance and Jack (Katlyn) Lance; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Nancy (Edward) Conway of Pekin.

Kathie was the owner and operator of Central Hair Salon in Pekin for more than 20 years before retiring.

She enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards and entertaining while playing the Accordion with the band, The Red Hot Sisters in earlier years. She also enjoyed her time with family more than anything, especially the holidays spent together with her grandchildren. Kathie loved her pets Molly and Gracie.

She was of the Christian faith and had a heart for Jesus.

Services will be held on a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
