

Born April 6, 1928 in Pekin to George and Viola (Goodwin) Psinas, he married Mildred Luella Trainor on April 6, 1949 in Pekin. He later married Grace Larson on August 28, 1979 in Pekin. She died November 24, 1995 in Galesburg. He also was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Justin Sutton; two brothers, Al Psinas and George Psinas and three sisters, Arlene “Toni” Viviano, Helen Hedden and Phyllis Psinas.
Surviving are two sons, Kerry D. (Teresa) Psinas and Kevin D. (Amy) Psinas, both of Pekin; two daughters, Rhonda K. Medina of Peoria and Vickie L. Psinas of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and one brother, C. Edward (Anna) Psinas of Pekin.
Kenneth was a 1946 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
Kenneth carried mail for 17 years. He then started a career in the insurance business with Prairie Farmer in Illinois. He became district manager and later took the position of state manager of Iowa with Wallaces Farmer. He finished his career as a self-employed independent broker until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pekin. He enjoyed fishing and working crossword puzzles.
His funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Josh Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are required. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
