Kevin Eugene Busby

Born December 15, 1960 in Pekin to Earl and Cora (Young) Busby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry Busby and one sister, Bonnie Hopton.

Surviving are the love of his life, Connie Clark of Pekin; two daughters, Heather (Jake) Filson of Roanoke and Tasha (Brad) Hamilton of Pekin; four grandchildren, Makayla Appleyard, Konnor Filson, Kyla and Kade Hamilton; two brothers, Richard and Scott (Robyn) Busby, both of Pekin; two sisters, Betty (Denny) Urish of Pekin and Carol Tribble of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews and life-long friend Gary Kelley.

He was an operating engineer for Local IUOE 649, retiring in 2013.

Buzz loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, tinkering with cars, lawn mowers and anything mechanical.

A gathering celebrating Buzz’s life will be held at a later date.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin.
