

Born February 25, 1957 in Pekin, she was the daughter of Flora Monica (Maquet) Moore. She was preceded in death by her mother, two brothers, Larry Moore and Terry Moore, and one niece, Lori Frietsch.
Surviving is her long-time partner, Michael “Mike” Gardner of Pekin; one daughter, Denni Maquet of Pekin; two step-sons, Dustin Maquet and Kortney Maquet, both of Pekin; two step-grandsons, Charles Maquet and Oliver Maquet; two nieces, Lisa Qualls and Leslie (Mike) Henry, both of Pekin; two sister-in-laws, M.A. Moore of Pekin and Jodie Moore of Vancouver, Washington; and her beloved dog, Shelby.
Kim was a 1975 graduate of Pekin Community High School, where she had been the Homecoming Queen.
She worked for Ace Liquors South on Derby Street in Pekin for 18 years, last working in 2016.
Kim’s generosity knew no bounds and was always thinking of others. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed shopping, and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
A gathering celebrating Kim’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Pekin Moose Family Center 916. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
