Lanny L Braasch

Born June 8, 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lanny Leroy Sr. and Shirley Ann (Arseneau) Braasch, he married Mary Lou Manning on April 6, 1984 in Champaign. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Shirley Braasch of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; father and step-mother, Lanny Sr. and Gloria Braasch of Jamestown, North Dakota; one step-daughter, Dawn (Chris) Pelmore of Champaign; one step-son, Tyler Teague of Champaign; four grandchildren, Emily Teague, June Pelmore, Skyler Gahwiler, and Josh Teague; two sisters, Becky (Kevin Koski) Braasch-Koski and Cathy Diesem, both of Minnesota; one nephew, Ryan Diesem; and one grandmother, Fern Block; and his two canine companions, Koda and Abby.

Lanny worked for the Brucker Company in Peoria for 4 years, last working as a project manager on November 15, 2007. Previously, he worked for PIPCO and Phillips Swager Associates, both in Peoria.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Lanny loved his family and dogs. His grandchildren, Josh and Skyler had the advantage of learning and experiencing the most with grandpa as they had lived with him recently for several years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He will be truly missed in all of our lives. The family wishes to give special thanks to Pete Lykkebak, Larry Kasza, Chuck Wills, Vince Radosta, and all of Lanny's fellow employees at Brucker Company, and also to all who knew, loved, and cared for him.

There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
