Born April 10, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to John “Scotty” and Hazel (Hunt) Donaldson, she married Dave D. Dunn on June 20, 1964 in Danville. He died November 15, 1987 in Pekin. She later married Daniel Edward Jarman on February 15, 1992 in Pekin. He died February 20, 2010 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are one daughter, Amy (Steve) Harris of Columbus, Wisconsin; three stepsons, Tyler Daniel Jarman of Madison, Wisconsin, Daniel (Anna) Jarman, Jr. and Kevin (Natalie) Jarman, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; three stepdaughters, Kathleen (Jason) Rose of Littleton, Colorado, Erin (Jeremy) Shouse of Indianapolis and Meigan Jarman of Lakewood, Colorado; one grandson, Kolbe Harris and eight step-grandchildren, Peyton Rose, Ethan Rose, Griffin Rose, Gavin Jarman, Daniel Edward Jarman III, Marlo Jarman, Wilhelmina Jarman and Briley Shouse; two sisters, Temple Lloyd of Houston, Texas and Jane (Don) Sheehan of Metropolis and one brother, John Donaldson of Havre, Montana.
Laurie worked at Herget Bank, N.A. in Pekin for more than 40 years, last working and retiring as Assistant Vice-President of Operations in 2011. Prior to marriage and moving to Pekin, Laurie worked at FMC in Hoopeston.
She was a longtime member and a past president of the Pekin Hospital League. She also was a former president and member of the Pekin YWCA Board of Directors. Laurie was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood. Laurie was also a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pekin.
Laurie was an avid sports fan and loved watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears and any golf tournament that was on. She was a season ticket holder for Bradley basketball and loved attending the games with friends. Laurie was also an avid golfer and played for many years.
Amy would like to thank all of Laurie's friends and family for their incredible support over the last several years as Laurie wouldn't have been able to battle her cancer without their help and support. A special thanks to the Illinois Cancer Center, UW Carbone Cancer Center and Agrace Hospice for their support.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father Matthew C. Dallman will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Mann’s Chapel Cemetery in Rossville.
