Lawrence Reeves

Born October 20, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York to Harry and Katherine (Brennan) Reeves, he married Alice Peck on August 15, 1965 in Wilmington, Delaware. They were happily married for 60 years. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Coleen Reeves of Buffalo, New York, Richard Reeves of Yulee, Florida, Rebecca Reeves of Pekin and Mary Reeves of Pekin, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army.

He worked as head of maintenance at several businesses; he was a jack of all trades. He was also on the Schaeferville Fire Department for many years and volunteered at the fire aid station for HOI Fair.

Larry was of the Christian faith.

He was a member of the Peoria Astrological Society and the Society for Creative Anachronism since 1977 with a specific interest in practicing archery and thrown weapons. He was also a past commander for the William Schaefer American Legion Post 44 and a past master of the Masonic Lodge.

Larry loved his German Shephard, Rex and dabbled in wood working.

There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
