Linda Sue Bright, 72, of Pekin, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Unity Point Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born on December 19, 1949 in Pekin, a daughter of Chester H. and Shirley M. (Lee) Weast. Linda married Lyle Joe "Buss" Bright, Sr. on April 26, 1968 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2018 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Dan Nieukirk; and sister-in-law, Cathy Weast.
Linda is survived by her children, Lyda (Mike) Magee, Lyle J. Bright II, Lyndon (Leann) Bright, Lori “PeeWee” Bright, and Danelle Bright, a granddaughter whom they raised; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donny (Kay) Weast and Larry Weast; and one sister, Patty Nieukirk.
Linda was a custodian for Aramark, working at Washington Intermediate School in Pekin for 15 years.
She loved going every Tuesday to BINGO night at the Boys and Girls Club.
Linda's funeral service will be at 6:30 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Her visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm also on Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment with her husband will take place at a later date in Glendale Memory Gardens in Pekin.
