Born October 14, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Leland and Beatrice (Teasdale) Kriner, she married Dr. Jack E. Matheney, Ed.D. on October 17, 1961 in Kirksville, Missouri. He died August 18, 2018 in Tremont. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leland Paul Kriner.
Surviving are two daughters, Jacque (Steve) Jeckel of Pekin and Jane (Gerald) Rood of O’Fallon, Missouri; two sons, Michael (Lynnor) Matheney of The Woodlands, Texas and Wes (Mary Beth) Matheney of Western Springs; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, Linda was a dedicated wife and mother, who was unselfish and enjoyed baking.
Her private memorial service will be at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Inurnment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
