PEKIN ~ Loil Winston Williams, 76, of 209 Manchester Drive, Vicksburg, Mississippi, the father of a Pekin woman, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria. He was formerly of Farmer City.
Born September 25, 1930 in West Township, McLean County to Wesley and Fern (Lipsey) Williams, he married Beverly Lewis on October 30, 1976 in Champaign. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kristi Jean (Steve) Meyer of Pekin; two grandchildren; two sisters, Hannah Jean (John) McCarty and Mary Hilda (Robert) Howe and two brothers, Wayne (Sally) Williams and Frank (Lynda) Williams.
His brother preceded him in death.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Mr. Williams owned and operated the Oaces Tavern in Champaign for many years.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
