Pekin ~ Lois Mae Morgan, 77, of 1711 Short Drive in Pekin, passed away at 5:58 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria.Born December 1, 1928 in Pekin to Fred and Ruth Hoerr Ziegenbein, she was first married to Ernest Tassart. She later married Harry Louis Morgan on January 8, 1960 in Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 27, 1995 in Peoria; and 1 brother.
Surviving are 1 son, Harry L. Morgan, Jr. of Osceola, Iowa; 2 daughters, Karon Bitner and Patricia (Ronald) Sund, both of Pekin; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters; and 1 brother, Donald (Carol) Ziegenbein of Manito.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Morgan had worked in the cafeteria at Corn Products Corporation in Pekin from 1957-61.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, dancing, and bowling.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2005at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
