Lois Louise Rynearson

Born October 4, 1941 in Mapleton to Charles A. and Verna L. (Peters) Monks, she married Dale L. Rynearson on July 15, 1971 in Kingston Mines. He passed away on March 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Monks and Gordon Monks and two sisters, Ruth Schmick and Carol Keen.

Surviving are three daughters, Anita (Tim) Hickman of Peoria, Annette Green of Pekin and Alisha (Bert) Raffety of Glasford; five grandchildren, Jesse Cox, Justin Cox, Brianna Eichorn, Austin Raffety and Ashlyn Raffety and nine great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kaylee, Carson, Emma, Brinley, Brystin, Oaklee, Presley and Lyle.

Lois and Dale built their home together in 1977. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

She enjoyed gardening, playing solitaire, and working crosswords and word searches.

Lois’s graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2025 at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton. Arrangements have entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

Memorial donations may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
