Loretta Louise Moore

Born in Saint Elmo, Illinois, Loretta was the cherished daughter of the late William and Louise (Durbin) Guthrie. A devoted Christian woman, she found joy in cooking at home and reading her Bible, sharing her faith and love with everyone around her.

Loretta is survived by her beloved children, Cathy Shallenberger of Pekin, Anita (Ronnie) Witt of Galveston, Texas, Brenda (Sam) Preston of Front Royal, Shelby Moore of Front Royal, Edward (Leslie) Moore of Greensboro, Pennsylvania, Darin (April) Moore of Falls Church, Virginia and two stepsons, Bill Moore of Pekin and Jackie Moore of Front Royal, Virginia. In addition, she also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Moore on December 11, 1999; her sister, Bonita Hazlet; and her three sons, Richard Heaton, Kevin Moore, and Scott Moore.

Loretta treasured her time spent with family and friends, always cherishing the moments they shared together.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Ron Jansen will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

Flowers are preferred and may be sent to the funeral home, however memorial contributions may also be made to North Pekin Church of the Nazarene, 126 South Main Street, North Pekin, IL 61554
