Lorraine C Davis

Born December 20, 1917 in Pekin to Oscar and Alberta (Knieriem) Ripper, she married Kenneth Davis on July 26, 1947 in Bartonville. He died November 13, 2002. She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Ripper; and a niece, Karen Albrecht.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, JoAnn Ripper of Pekin; four cousins, Kathy Buselmeier and Nancy Conway, both of Pekin, Gus Knieriem of Marquette Heights, and David Knieriem; a grand-nephew, Kurt Albrecht of Pekin; and a grand-niece, Kelly Albrecht of Pekin.

She worked for Standard Brands/Fleishman's Yeast in Pekin for over 32 years, retiring as a supervisor in the cutting and wrapping room in 1971.

Lorraine attended Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Pekin.

She enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling, especially with her husband's barbershop quartet.

Her funeralwill be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. TheRev. Brian T. Kellingtonwill officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
