Lorraine V Larimore

PEKIN ~ Lorraine V. Larimore, 87, of Pekin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home.

Born June 26, 1931 in Daisy, Washington to Charles and Marie (Flohr) Stilwell, she married Charles Larimore on August 8, 1954 in Tacoma, Washington. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her son, Randy Eades; one granddaughter, Heidi Jo Gibbs and two infant siblings.

Surviving are three daughters, Carla (Paul) Gibbs of Pekin, Lisa (Chuck) Horaney of North Pekin and Paula (George) Parry of Manito; two sons, Chucky Larimore of Mackinaw and Stephen Larimore of Creve Coeur; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, two brothers, Floyd and Bruce and two sisters, Harriet and Doris.

Lorraine was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Pekin.

She had worked for Standard Brands for 9 years, until its closing. She later worked for ten years for Pabst Brewing Company until its closing. She owned Tazewell Landscaping for a couple of years and owned Tazewell Catering for five years. She also did some babysitting and provided home care for seniors. All of her babysitting kids knew her as “Grandma Rainy”.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, fishing, riding horses, camping and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
