

Margaret L. “Marge” Norman, 85, of Pekin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 1:30 a.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born March 17, 1927 in Park Falls, Wisconsin to Edward and Faye (Toney) Wiedenhoeft, she married LaVerne W. Norman January 11, 1947 in Park Falls, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death May 10, 1995.
Surviving are four sons: Terry (Linda) Norman, Jerry (Paula) Norman, Gregg (Mona) Norman, Jeffery (Leslie) Norman, all of Pekin; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy (Don) Hall of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Anna Mae Johnson of Park Falls, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Mardell Petri of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward “Sonny” Wiedenhoeft.
Marge was a homemaker who loved to spend time working in her yard, but the true love of her life was her family. Marge cherished the time she spent with each and every one of them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marge was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin and member of the 7:00 a.m. Bible Study and Fellowship Club. She also taught Sunday school for many years. Marge was a Walther League leader and mentored new Vietnamese church members. In 1986 at the Pekin YWCA Women’s Recognition Day, she was presented with the Outstanding Achievement YWCA One Imperative Award.
Funeral services for Marge will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin, with Pastor Mark Miller & Pastor Glenn Niemann officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Pekin, or Bethel Lutheran School in Morton.
