Born March 4, 1943 in Pekin to Robert and Katherine (Paul) Chaplin, she married Thomas Lee Howell on October 4, 1960 in Pekin.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, June Howell, Janice (Butch) Showens, and Jeanne Howell, all of Pekin; two sons, Thomas Howell, Jr. and Steven (Bobbi Jo) Howell, both of Pekin; five grandchildren, Thomas Howell, III, John Thomas (Sarah) Howell, Matthew Howell, Jace Howell, and Coral Howell, all of Pekin; three brothers, Robert (Thelma) Chaplin, Jr., John (Sandy) Chaplin, and Charlie (Debbie) Chaplin, all of Wisconsin; and one sister, Rebecca Robertson of Wisconsin.
Her parents and one brother, Eugene Chaplin, preceded her in death.
Marie was an Avon Representative for 31 years. She enjoyed crocheting; her three dogs, and especially enjoyed her grandkids.
Her visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no service and cremation will be accorded.
