Born March 17, 1924 in Pekin to John and Ada Hieronymus Sheppert, she married Vernon W. Campbell on June 11, 1948 in Pekin. He died March 20, 1980 in Peoria.
Surviving are 1 son, Todd (Stacy) Campbell of Pekin; 2 grandsons, Jayson (Nikki) Campbell of Morton and Adam Campbell of Pekin; and 1 sister, Lenora (Edward) Powell of Anna, Texas.
A devoted lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin, she had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Missionary Society. She was a member of the Pekin Women's Club and the Christian Women's Club in Pekin.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at her church. The Rev. Michael McLeod will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
