Marsha R Armstrong

Born April 27, 1950 in Pekin to Andrew and Goldie (Haynes) Morris, she married Bryce Armstrong Sr. on March 29, 1978 in Pekin. He died July 19, 2003 in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are one daughter, April (Nate Gutierrez) Armstrong of Pekin; one son, Bryce (Selena) Armstrong, Jr. of Fort Drum, New York; five grandchildren, Taylor, Aliyah, Chloe, Kaelei, and Bryce III; five sisters, Grace "Ellen" Farris and Joyce (Chuck) Schraub Jr., both of Pekin, Barbara (Edward) Russell of Elgin, Andrea Berry of Wheelingand Diane (Gary) Bailey of Creve Coeur; and two brothers, Donald Morris of Peoria and Ronald (Debra) Morris of Pekin.

Marsha was a homemaker, and also a caretaker at Department of Rehabilitation Servicesin Pekin for many years.

She dedicated her life to taking care of her children and helping others. She wrote beautiful poetry and loved music and science fiction.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pekin.

Her memorial service will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Richard W. Jones will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Swan Lake Cemetery in Peoria.
