

Born September 8, 1914 in West Lebanon, Indiana to Dr. Lawrence and Mary Edna (Elkin) Finney, she married Robert Charles Haworth on August 27, 1939 in Georgetown. He died September 18, 2001 in Morton. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Finney.
Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer L. (John) Barr of Spring Bay; one son, R. Lawrence "Larry" (Phyllis) Haworth of Green Bay, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Robert Haworth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jonna (Sean) Randleman of Spring Bay and Jared (Jessica) Barr of Tampa, Florida; five great-grandchildren and one brother, James Finney of Washington, New Jersey.
She owned and operated with her husband the IGA in Danville for many years. They also had operated grocery stores in Fowler, Indiana and Sarasota, Florida.
Dit liked to golf and was a former member of the Benton Country Club. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading.
She was a member of the Paris Avenue Church of Christ in Peoria.
Her memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.Evangelist James Finney, her brother, will officiate.Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Danville.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
