Mary Lou Friedrich

Born July 10, 1939 in Peoria to John and Margaret Louise (Stevens) Lane, she married Kenneth Michael Friedrich. He died January 15, 1989. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ruth Ann Look.

Surviving are four daughters, Terri (Glenn) Brand of South Pekin, Janelle (Dale) Voss of Chatham, Jill (Tim) Sisk and Michelle Friedrich, both of Pekin; eleven grandchildren, Nikole (Jason) Epstein, Jakob (Katie) Pogeman, Rebekka (Anthony) Camacho, Annikka (Grant) Slusarski, Skyler Voss, Hunter Voss, Zack (Brittany) Sisk, Joshua Kaebel, Chase (Brittany) Sisk, Bella Sisk and Kira Friedrich; twelve great-grandchildren and one brother, John (Pam) Lane, III of Bartonville.

Mary Lou was a longtime telephone operator for CENTEL in Pekin and retired from Gallatin River Communications as a customer service representative in 2003.

She loved going to hockey games, especially for grandkids. Mary Lou loved being near water, especially on a beach near the ocean, on an Alaskan cruise or in her pool in the back yard.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chris Sansom will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
