

Born October 4, 1948 in Pekin to Russell Earl, Sr. and Lula Mae (Flairty) Diegel, she married Kenneth “Kenny” Joe Wyman on July 16, 1999 in Brainerd, Minnesota. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jason (Rene) Herberger of Pekin; one daughter, Melanie (Sean) Poore of Creve Coeur; four grandchildren, Cooper Herberger, Caylee Herberger, Adam Poore, and Chase Diegel; and several nieces and nephews. She was also looking forward to the birth of her granddaughter, Carley Herberger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Mindy Lou; and two brothers, Russell Diegel, Jr. and Bill Diegel, Sr.
Mary Lou worked for the City of Pekin as a school bus driver beginning in 1975 and later moved to driving a city bus for many years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 in Pekin.
Mary Lou enjoyed cooking chicken and noodles, camping, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had made many friends over the years driving the city bus.
Her visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Following the visitation there will be a celebration of her life gathering at the Pekin Eagles Lodge, 274 Derby Street in Pekin. Private graveside services will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
