Born Jul. 24, 1953 in Bloomington to Riley F. and Nina E. (Woolridge) Jenkins, she married John M. Norris on Dec.22, 1990 in Bloomington.
Surviving are her husband; her father of Manito; 2 daughters, Jeanette Swank of Bloomington and Tammy Ridgeway of Manito; 2 sons, Chuck (Pleshette) Ridgeway of Bloomington, and Michael Norris of Monticello, Minn.; several step-children; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sue (Dan) Watkins and Patricia Jenkins, both of Manito; 3 brothers, Charles (Vicky) Jenkins of Monticello, Minn., John (Deb( Jenkins of Herrin, and Bobby Jenkins of Hanna City.
Janie was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents.
She enjoyed sewing, Crocheting, cooking, and fishing.
Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
