Michael L Pearce

EAST PEORIA ~ Michael L. Pearce, 64 of East Peoria passed away at 3:56 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.

Born April 11, 1948 in Bradford, AR to Henry L. and Wanda L. (McAdams) Pearce, he married Carol Bayston on November 21, 1970 in Chenoa. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Pekin; one son, Tony Pearce of East Peoria; one daughter, Diana Pearce of Pekin; one brother, Rick (Mary) Pearce of Alice, TX and one sister, Missy (Gary) Simpson of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Sam.

Michael had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 45 years, retiring in 2010.

He was a member of the UAW Local #974.

Michael enjoyed working on and overhauling cars and going to antique tractor and car shows.

He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012. The Rev. Dr. James R. Lillie will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial of cremated remains will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
