Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We remember Nancy as a sweet, kind, friendly lady who helped our daughters, Deana and Danielle become good swimmers out at Sunset Country Club. Because of her caring personality she convinced both to get back in the water on some of those cool mornings. Nancy became a mother figure to lots of swimmers over the years. She will be missed.

It was our pleasure to know Nancy through her son Doug and his family.  We will always remember Nancy for her kindness and loving nature she shared with her family and friends. We enjoyed celebrating her grandchildren's birthdays and special occasions with her.  She was always very warm and friendly to our family. We are so sorry the family and world has lost such a wonderful person.   

Dear Family........You have been in our thoughts and prayers during this period!  You know how much your mother meant to me....she was a very dear friend.  She was a person who was always smiling, energetic, encouraging and thought the world of her family! Dan, David, Doug and Lloyd.....You were her life and she was proud of each and everyone of you!  May the memories of Nancy remain in your heart forever....she has left you with a precious gift of love and trust which will guide you through! We will all miss her.

Mrs. Prevett (never got used to her real name being Nancy) was one of the best people I ever had the privilege of knowing.  

Tonya and I send our deepest sympathy to you all and your families.  She will always be remembered in our family with the warmest memories.

My condolences to the family. You guys are in my prayers. I have great memories of time spent in the Prevett household growing up, killing time after practice, before meets and all times in between. There was always fruit on the counter and Beatles’ music on the stereo. Mrs. Prevett was a constant, caring, loving presence growing up.

I think back to the great guidance that was provided to me by Nancy. I’m a parent now, and she is a role model for me as I’m involved in my children’s activities, encouraging them and pushing them.  I will remember and cherish how she was always there for us, involved in swimming and soccer. 

It’s been years since I’ve seen you in person, but you will be missed in my heart. 


My mother in law was an amazing woman.  A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law. I will miss our almost daily conversations and the special bond we formed over the last nine years. I love you dearly Nancy and will miss you so! May you rest in peace with our Lord!

Nancy was a great person all around! As a friend of her son and daughter in law, Doug and Amy, we enjoyed a few trips and visits with Nancy. She was so full of life and fun to be around. Nancy was an amazing wife, mother, mother in law and grandmother! 

Nancy was an amazing person that will be missed dearly by the many lives she touched.  Nancy was an exceptional mother and grandmother.  My sister was lucky to be able to have her as a mother-in-law and grandmother to their children.  We were extremely blessed to have shared many birthdays, holidays and trips with Nancy.  She always treated us like we were part of the family as well.  We love and miss you Nancy!

Nancy, I first want to thank you for being the beautiful Mother who gave my wonderful son-in-law to Amy. Thank you for the most precious Grandchildren God could give me. Their precious little nose and that beautiful flawless complexion look just like you...thank you. But thank you for all the love and memories you have given them. I will make sure they will always know what a wonderful Grandmother and Lady you are. I am so happy to have shared the wonderful Hilton Head memories with you and Lloyd.You are an example of Courage, Love, Kindness, Unselfishness, Sharing, Caring.  Please give my parents a big hug and share all our Grandchildren stories with them in your new home. I Love You!! Kay Ridge

Our loving thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad loss of our beloved Nancy.  37 years ago our son Russ met Nancy and the Prevett  boys on their "Big Wheels" on Deppert Dr.  Over the years our family grew to know and love Nancy as our neighbor, as the kid's swim coach and teacher and as the neighborhood "Police Woman" when our (yours & ours) boys did something that was viewed as unacceptable to the general public; no specifics will be mentioned.  In remembering Nancy we think of her calm mannerisms, her kindness and caring for others, especially our boys and how she loved her dogs.  She was a good friend,  a wonderful loving mother and wife.  She will be missed.
