Nicholas C Gerard

He was born April 19, 1989 in Pekin to Dathan Caverly and Tracey Renee (Garrison) Gerard.

Surviving are his parents of Mapleton; one sister, Shayli Gerard of Mapleton; one brother, Kyle Gerard of Mapleton; girlfriend, Jessy Sapp of Pekin; grandparents, Jon and Connie Gerard of Pekin, Jacque (Garrison) and Jamar Robinson of Glendale, California, and Alan and Kathy Garrison of Mackinaw; great-grandparents, Phyllis Gerard of Pekin, Robert and Patricia Williamson of Morris, and Mary and George Connett of East Peoria; one aunt, Katie (David) Schlappi of Morton; three uncles, Scott Garrison of Saint Louis, Missouri, Andy (Jill) Garrison of East Peoria, and Tim (Jamie) Garrison of Germantown Hills; and many cousins.

Nick was a 2007 graduate of Pekin Community High School and played football for 3 years. He currently was completing studies at Illinois Central College in East Peoria.

Nick enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts and music festivals.

His funeral will be at noon Tuesday, June 22, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cheryl Sherwood and Pastor Dale Schaeffer will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nicholas Gerard Memorial Fund.
