Patrick M Eggers

BARTONVILLE ~ Patrick Martin Eggers, 47, of 5214 West Monroe Road, passed away at 2:51 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born June 26, 1963 in Peoria to Howard Martin and Mary Caroline (Goll) Eggers, he married Teresa Kay Gregory on July 3, 1982 in Peoria.  She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Alan M. Eggers of Bartonville; one daughter, Amber M. Eggers of Pekin; four grandchildren, Hailey, Jayleeann, Alexis and Terrence; one brother, Roger (Marcia) Eggers of Peoria and one sister, Martha Mae Schmick of Chillicothe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard Eggers and Howard Eggers and two sisters, Carol Suddeth and Elsie Chaney.

A graduate of Manual High School, Patrick worked for the Greater Peoria Airport Authority for 23 years in Building Maintenance, last working in May of 2010.

Patrick enjoyed playing horseshoes, darts and shooting pool.  He was all about family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Robert Hobdy will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery.
