

Born April 11, 1929 in Tremont to Albert and Louis (Papenhause) Luft, he married Bernice Evelyn Holeman on April 21, 1957 at Second Reformed Church in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brian (Marla) Luft of Pekin; one daughter, Julie (George) Sadler of South Pekin; two grandchildren, Amanda (Travis) Banks and Brian Pierce and two great-grandchildren, Ryden and Marley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Leonard Luft and Robert Luft and two sisters, Mary Strietmatter and Lela Strunk.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
Paul last worked for AJ & R Siding, Inc. and formerly worked for Tazewell Builders for 20 years.
He was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin, where he formerly served as a deacon.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Bill Appleyard-Pekich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
