

Born June 22, 1947 in Granite Fall, North Carolina to Raymond Willard and Elizabeth L. (Annas) Hollar, he married Judith H. Wiseman. She died in 2003 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are one daughter, Terena (Don) Miller of Pekin; one son, Shawn (Linda) Allen of Florida; one step-daughter, Katie (Derek) McKavitt of Yates City; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two sisters, Kay Bakke of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Evelyn (Jay) Hart of Callahan, Colorado.
Troy had worked as an electrician at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria, retiring in 2005 after 32 years of service. He was an active member of UAW Local 974, where he served as a committee member.
He was a 15-year Master Mason and was a member of Empire Lodge #126, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Pekin. He was currently holding the office of Junior Warden. He was also a member of Onefive Widowssons Masonic Riders and former member of Paul Riviera Widowsons. He also was a former member of the Bartonville Joseph Robbins Lodge # 930 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons.
Troy enjoyed playing golf, riding his trike and ballroom and county and western dancing. He also found great joy in spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. Troy loved the Lord.
Troy’s memorial service and visitation will be held at a later date at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where Masonic rites will be provided before the service. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria.
