Randell "Randy" Lee Robinson

Born August 18, 1939, in Oraville, Illinois to Howard and Una (King) Robinson, he married Janet Gray on June 28, 1964, in Farmington. They lived in Pekin most of their years and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jan of Morton; two sons, Kevin (Joyce) of East Peoria and Greg (Darcy) of Morton, six grandchildren Benjamin (Betty Jean) Robinson of Morton, Betty Jean (Daniel) Blackwell of Washington, Elijah (Jessica) Robinson of East Peoria, Stephen (April) Robinson of Peoria, Tim (Linda) Robinson of East Peoria and Micah (Renea) Robinson of East Peoria; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Betty) of Pekin and Laymon of Peoria and one sister, Maxine Raffety of Hanna City.

Randy was in pest control for 45 years, working for American Pest Control and then Reliable Pest Control. He then managed his own business, Randy’s Pest Management, servicing many locations throughout central Illinois and was affectionately known to many of his customers as “The Bugman.” He graduated from Farmington High School in 1958 and served in the Coast Guard Reserves until 1966.

He was a member of Victorious Life Bible Church in East Peoria. He enjoyed volunteering in support of the Worldwide Victorious Life Bible Teaching Ministry of his Bible teacher, Mrs. Betty Jean Nutter. He enjoyed sharing his love for Jesus with others, even during his last few years as he endured health difficulties, knowing they were a light affliction that was but for a moment.

His funeral will be at noon Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes in Pekin. Pastor James Schoonover will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Victorious Life Cemetery in East Peoria.
