

Born May 4, 1931 in Oakford to John and Blanche Hill, he married Patsy L. Stevenson on November 22, 1974 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joy (Robert) Power of Pekin and Carol (Clifford) White of Pima, Arizona; one son, David Wayne (Brenda) Hill of Mesa, Arizona; one step-daughter, Cindy (Jim) Donnell of Lexington; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and two half-brothers, Terry (Linda) Schultz of Lexington, Oklahoma and Lowry (Bonnie) Schultz of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Timothy, two sisters and one half-brother.
Ray was a member of Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.
He worked for Corn Products in Pekin for several years, retiring in 1984.
He was a former member of the Pekin Police Department Auxiliary for 30 years.
He enjoyed coin collecting, and was passionate about taking care of his yard.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. His graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakford Cemetery in Oakford, IL.
